Despite how much I love to travel, I hate planes. I get bored, I’m never comfortable, and it’s impossible to sleep well. After all the years of flying around the world, I’ve got packing my carry on bag down to a science. Today I decided I would share with you some of my carry on essentials!
Water bottle: There’s something about traveling that makes me so dehydrated. What I love most about my Swell water bottle is that the water stays cold much longer since the bottle stays insulated.
Sunglasses: No matter where I go or what time of year, I always put a pair of sunglasses in my bag. After digging through my suitcase for sunglasses (or even forgetting them) a few too many times, I decided my sunglasses belong in my carry on.
Moisturizer: This sleeping mask does wonders on my skin. If I’m going on a flight that’s longer than 6 hours, I put a thin layer on my skin before takeoff. There’s nothing worse than the drying airplane air. This sleeping mask is HELLA moisturizing making it perfect for those long-haul flights.
Headphones: Plane rides are so boring for me, so I always have to bring activities for me to do. I’m always listening to music or watching one of the countless movies on my computer.
Suduko Book: When I’m not watching a movie on my laptop I’m doing suduko. It’s a fun way for me to pass the time and keep my brain entertained. I like how my book is smaller so it doesn’t take up too much space in my bag, plus it’s so pretty!
Gum: The carry on staple. Nobody likes popped ears.
Srunchie: Perfect for keeping the hair out of your face. I like scrunchies because they aren’t as tight as hair ties, plus I feel like I missed out on the decades where they were in style originally.
Aromatherapy Essential Oils: While essential oils are really backed by science, these babies really can be helpful. I like this kit because it comes with Sweet Dreams, Travel, and Energy roller balls making application super easy. The Travel one is made to help destress, which is sometimes all you need on your traveling days.
Perfume: I always toss a little bottle of perfume into my purse while traveling. Sometimes planes smell funky, or you leave a plane smelling funky. Nothing wrong with having a little perfume on hand.
