Place: Czech Stop
Where: West, Texas
Address: Exit 353 on I-35 (part of Shell gas station)
On the drive from Dallas to Austin, there’s a perfect halfway marker for you to stop at. It’s a staple in every Texan’s roadtrip down I-35, and once you try their kolaches, you’ll understand why. With clean bathrooms, endless options of freshly baked goods, and a gas station you can see why people keep coming back.
At the front of the store is where you can find the kolaches, cupcakes, and sandwiches made fresh daily. Not only do you get to pick between countless mouthwatering options, they even heat them up for you! Personal favorites include poppyseed, Nutella, cherry or peach kolaches. The breakfast options are incredibly delicious, my picks are the sausage and cheese or jalapeño sausage and cheese kolache, along with the breakfast bun stuffed with eggs, sausage and cheese.
If you thought those amazing options weren’t enough, there’s even frozen cobblers and day old discounted products. It’s a stop that truly has something for everyone, I hope you enjoy!!!
